Geolocation redirects
With the geolocation redirect feature, you can redirect customers to the local or international version of a storefront based on their geolocation (country or region). You can redirect to another storefront or a manually added URL.
Geolocation redirects are set up at an organizational level, so you define them for all your stores at once.
Add geolocation redirects
- Open Instant Commerce and go to Geolocation.
- If this is the first geolocation redirect you create, click Create a geolocation redirect. Otherwise, click Add redirect.
- Fill in all the fields on the next page. Under Name (internal reference) try to include the countries/regions for which the redirect is set up.
When you click the Create button, the redirect is created immediately.
Edit geolocation redirects
- Open Instant Commerce and go to Geolocation.
- Click the Pencil icon for the redirect you want to edit.
- Make the changes you need to make.
- Save your changes.
When you save your changes, they are active immediately
Deactivate geolocation redirects
You can deactivate your geolocation redirects if you want the customers from that specific region to be directed to your main storefront for a time.
- Open Instant Commerce and go to Geolocation.
- Toggle the Status switch for the redirect in question to Inactive.
- To reactivate this redirect, toggle its Status switch to Active.
Remove geolocation redirects
If you don't need a redirect at all anymore, you can remove it.
- Open Instant Commerce and go to Geolocation.
- Click the Trash bin icon for the redirect you want to remove.
- Click Remove redirect.
Style geolocation notification banners
Each storefront has its own banner, so you need to style them per store. It is a component in the customizer.
Your customers will only see this notification banner when they visit a storefront for the first time.
- Open your Instant Commerce store and go to Overview > Customize.
- Select Components and then select Geolocation Banner.
- Change the Theme and the Button type on the Settings tab, and change the Background color and Content color on the Palette tab.
- Save your changes.
