Enable Instant Insights

Instant Commerce can provide detailed and accurate data insights, showing you your core sales data like sales total, conversion rate, top selling product, and top searches.

To to able to use Instant Insights, you have to:

  1. Add the read_orders scope to the API permissions for your custom app in Shopify,
  2. set the time zone in your settings, and
  3. enable insights and enter your API secret key.

Add the read_orders scope to the API permissions for your custom app in Shopify

  1. Go to Shopify and log into the store that you have connected to Instant Commerce.
  2. On your Shopify store page, select Apps on the left side and then select App and sales channel settings.
  3. Click Develop apps and select the custom app you created to connect to Instant Commerce.
  4. On the Configuration tab, go to Admin API integration and click Edit.
  5. Enter "read_orders" in the filter and select read_orders.
  6. Save your changes.
  7. Go to the API credentials tab and copy the API secret key so you can enter it later.

Set the time zone in your settings

  1. Open your Instant Commerce store and go to Settings > General.
  2. For Time zone, select the time zone that you are in.
  3. Apply your changes.

Enable insights and enter your API secret key

  1. Open your Instant Commerce store and go to Integrations.
  2. On your Shopify integration, click Configure.
  3. Enable insights by toggling the switch.
  4. Enter your Shopify API secret key.
    If you don't have the API secret key yet:
    1. Go to Shopify and log into the store that you have connected to Instant Commerce.
    2. On your Shopify store page, select Apps on the left side and then select App and sales channel settings.
    3. Click Develop apps and select the custom app you created to connect to Instant Commerce.
    4. On the API credentials tab, copy the API secret key.
  5. Save your changes.

If you go back to your Overview now, you will see Instant Insights being displayed.
